**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Blue Ash College invites applications for a Program Director, Assistant Professor, Educator position for the Health Care Support Technician program within the Allied Health Department to begin August 15, 2022. We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 4500 students. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Proficiency in English and excellent information literacy/computer skills. *Creating and teaching courses within the Health Care Support Technician associate degree program and other courses within the Allied Health Department. *Supervising and evaluating students in the clinical lab and practicum settings. *Participating in accreditation, recruitment, academic advising, program resource development, and other program, department, college, and university functions. *Initiating and maintaining clinical affiliation site agreements, as well as initiating, implementing, and maintaining accreditation, licensure, and certification standards. *Utilize electronic media in the office, classroom, and laboratory settings. *Move and operate health-related equipment. *Communicate effectively and immediately with others in verbal and written form. *Interpret environmental cues, audio and visual stimuli, and respond immediately as necessary. *Engage in classroom, laboratory, and clinical activities for a sustained period. This includes frequent standing and walking for 3-5 hours. *Possess the visual acuity necessary to read, compute, and identify objects correctly.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*Registered Nurse (RN) or Medical Assistant (CMA)(AAMA) with current certification/registration within the United States and current state license or eligibility for state license as appropriate. *Minimum of an associate degree in nursing or medical assisting; master's degree in related field. *2 years successful classroom teaching experience in a high school Career Center with knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising; recent (within past 5 years) professional experience. *CPR certified at the level of Health Care Provider through the American Heart Association and be able to competently administer CPR.
