We offer primarily associate degrees in career and transition programs as well as general education courses and technical baccalaureate degrees to approximately 4500 students.

JOB OVERVIEW
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** Blue Ash College invites applications for an Assistant Director of Academic Affairs position. Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs is a leadership position with collaboration within and outside of the college.

The duties of this position include the following: manage the scheduling and registration of classes; manage the scheduling of rooms; liaison with the University Registrar's Office for scheduling of classes and other registration and scheduling issues; design and oversee preparation and analysis of reports; manage curriculum approval processes; manage program status changes; assist in coordination of academic assessment data and reporting; manage course evaluation processes; provide direct supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, time off approval, etc.). The Assistant Director of Academic Affairs works collaboratively with department heads, faculty, staff including those in Advising, Onestop, and the UC registrar's office. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*manage and assure accuracy of class schedule including classroom assignments and course changes *coordinate approvals of course drop, add, and withdraw processing and >18 credit hour requests with Onestop, faculty and Associate Dean, as appropriate *work with UC registrar's office to assure consistent processes and application of policies *work closely with the Associate Dean of Academic Affairs to plan and problem solve course scheduling and registration issues *in cooperation with Curriculum and Academic Affairs committee and Associate Dean, oversee college level use of eCurriculum system and manage eCurriculum approvals, course attributes, and process for updating program status *assist in coordination of academic assessment reporting *provide supervision and oversight to academic support team *co-coordinate office assignments and manage space usage *manage student course evaluation orders in cooperation with Academic Support Team *manage the space scheduling system (25Live) and oversee training and approvers and providing reporting data to the Office of the Registrar when requested *act as the Registrar liaison for the college (applying the college seal to official documents, signing paperwork as the college's Registrar) *other academic affairs projects and responsibilities, as assigned
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*3 years of experience with registration, scheduling, or related field. *1 year of supervision experience 
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work collegially with academic unit heads, faculty, staff, and students; a commitment to a student-centered environment; *accuracy and close attention to detail; *The ability to manage queries, databases, student information systems, and scheduling software.  *Experience in program coordination, registration, classroom scheduling, and curriculum approval processes.

*Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
