ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The College of Allied Health Sciences at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** offers state of the art programs in communication sciences and disorders, dietetics and nutrition, medical laboratory sciences, advanced medical imaging, health sciences, health information management, health administration, health informatics, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and social work. CAHS offers a welcoming and nurturing community designed to encourage the intellectual and social development of our students. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are designed to prepare our students to not only excel in their chosen careers but also to lead and serve others.

The College of Pharmacy at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is comprised of a diverse community of graduate professional students pursuing a doctorate degree in the dynamic field of pharmacy practice.  Upon graduation, our students become progressive pharmacy practitioners and researchers who work collaboratively with other healthcare team members in a variety of settings. 

ABOUT THE JOB
Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) is looking for qualified individuals to apply for the Staff Clinician position and join our energetic, multidisciplinary, culturally-informed collaborative team of mental health professionals. This clinical staff member of CAPS will serve the needs of students at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** in the College of Pharmacy (COP) and College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS).

This position would serve both COP and CAHS at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** and be a member of the Counseling and Psychological Serves (UC-CAPS) team. Under general supervision from a designated administrator, provide direct clinical counseling services to College of Pharmacy and College of Allied Health Sciences students. Develop and provide outreach to these college communities, and build a supportive community for the academic success and well-being of students.

Counseling and Psychological Services is the central counseling center at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. We provide brief short-term interventions within a stepped acre model, and promote an environment of support across the UC community that promotes student success.

JOB OVERVIEW
Provide direct clinical counseling services to university students. Develop and provide outreach to the university community.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Provide direct clinical counseling services to university students . *Plan and coordinate psychological/counseling programs at the University. *Consult with other professionals and organizational units regarding counseling needs. *Develop and provide outreach to students, faculty, and staff. Serve as liaison for counseling center to the university community and community agencies.  *Plan and supervise the practicum of graduate clinical students, residents, or other trainees assigned.  *Participate in training program(s) within the counseling center.  *Develop and coordinate programs within the counseling center.  *Collect data, create reports and proposals for program coordination.  *Keep abreast of developments in professional field.  *Represent the department on committees.  *Perform related duties based on departmental need.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Master's Degree in Social Work or Counseling, or Doctorate Degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology (PhD or PsyD).

REQUIRED TRAININGS/CERTIFICATIONS
*Must be independently licensed or licensed eligible as a psychologist, social worker, or clinical counselor in the State of Ohio, with the ability to supervise in their discipline. *License must be achieved within six (6) months of date of employment.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of clinical experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Experience working in a college or university counseling center or other academic environments *Experience working as an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team *Familiarity working with under-represented students and students from marginalized groups *Experience in healthcare education settings *Familiarity with trauma-informed interventions *Experience in the discipline of Social Work
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
*Office environment/no specific unusual physical or environmental demands.
