JOB OVERVIEW
As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the UC College of Medicine has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improves the health and clinical care of patients.

The College of Medicine Department of Internal Medicine is seeking a Community Health Coordinator.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Plan, organize, monitor, and evaluate all aspects of community education projects including the recruitment and retention of participants. *Conduct focus groups. *Engage with local, state, and national stakeholders who are engaged in community educational programs. *Provide outreach support to collaborating entities. *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree. *Fourn (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*Knowledge of, acceptance of and experience with the diversity of the gay/lesbian/ bisexual/ transgender community. Must have sensitivity to, interest in and competence in cultural differences, HIV/AIDS, minority health, sexual practices, and a demonstrated competence in working with persons of color and gay/lesbian/bisexual/transgender community. *Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends based on outreach activities being conducted outside of regular working hours. *Ability to travel; must be able to drive or have reliable transportation.
