JOB OVERVIEW
The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering (MME) at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***, located in Cincinnati, Ohio invites nominations and applications for the position of Department Head.

The Department currently has 44 faculty members and an enrollment of about 1290 undergraduate and 400 graduate students.  The Department presently offers fully accredited five-year B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering Technology, both with a mandatory co-op program; as well as M.Eng., M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in both Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science Engineering. The Department has a strong history of innovative engineering education, partnering with industry to develop senior capstone experiences, and exposing students to modern simulation tools through vertical integration of problems across the curriculum via the Siemens Simulation Technology Center. The Department has research focus areas in Structural Dynamics, Advanced Manufacturing, Thermal-Fluids Science, Applied and Computational Mechanics, Nanotechnology and Materials Science & Engineering.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*The applicant is expected to hold a Ph.D. in Engineering, Science, Mathematics, or a closely related discipline, or an advanced professional degree and have the credentials to hold an academic title and rank. *The applicant is expected to have demonstrated leadership in academia, industry, at a national laboratory or with a government agency; to have established external visibility in professional societies; preference will be given to applicants who have credentials commensurate with an appointment as full professor with academic tenure in Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
