In partnership with the UC Health academic healthcare system and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, College of Medicine's faculty are transforming the world of medicine every day. The College of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, is seeking to fill a Professor of Clinical - GEO position as the Vice Chair of Research. A Professor at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is expected to teach, conduct research, scholarly and other professional or creative activities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Summary: Clinician/Teacher *Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care. *Preference will be given to an individual with demonstrated leadership skills; chief residency training or similar accomplishment during residency training is preferred. *Demonstration of interest and accomplishment in bedside clinical teaching of medical students and residents (emergency medicine as well as other clinical services) is necessary. *Academic productivity such as original research papers, abstracts, and chapters is also preferable. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS *Emergency medicine residency training of 4 years or the equivalence by experience. *Board Certification in Emergency Medicine or eligibility by training. *Five (5) years in an academic setting or equivalent teaching and research experience. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED Demonstrated interest and accomplishment in emergency medicine clinical patient care.
