JOB OVERVIEW
PROGRAM DIRECTOR OF THE OCCUPATIONAL MEDICINE RESIDENCY (OMR)

AND

MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF THE UC HEALTH EMPLOYEE HEALTH AND WELLNESS CLINIC (UEHC)

The Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences is a top-tier department with world-renowned faculty and staff.

The Department of Environmental and Public Health Sciences (DEPHS) seeks an established clinician to direct both the OMR and the UEHC. The UEHC serves the employee health needs of both **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** and UC Health as well as the occupational health needs of a growing number of businesses in the region. Candidates with demonstrated leadership capacities and clinical expertise are encouraged to apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The OMR Program Director oversees and ensures the quality of resident didactic and clinical education as well as resident selection and evaluation. S/he will ensure that the program fulfills Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements as well as those mandated by the National Institute for Occupational Safety & Health-Education and Research Centers (NIOSH-ERC) grant. The selected applicant will teach and precept residents in class as well as in clinic, and will become a regional leader in occupational health education.

The UEHC medical director ensures that UEH occupational health policies and procedures are consistent with applicable legal mandates, best community medical practices and guidelines, as well as organizational missions and goals. S/he plans and directs the clinical activities and participates in examinations of and the direct care of patients in the UEHC.

This faculty position is based in the Division of Occupational and Environmental Medicine within the DEPHS at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. The candidate's credentials and experience will determine academic rank. This is a clinical, non-tenure track position. The salary for this position is commensurate with qualifications and experience.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
*MD, DO, or equivalent degree *Certification by the American Board of Preventive Medicine *Ohio State Physician and Surgeon's License issued by the Board of Medical Examiners of the State of Ohio. *Specialty expertise in Occupational Medicine *At least three years of documented educational and/or administrative experience  *Effective communication skills with a variety of constituencies
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Board certification in Occupational Medicine *Successful clinical leadership and administrative experiences *Two years of medical administrative experience in the field of occupational medicine.  Medical administrative experience which is defined as experience planning, organizing, developing, staffing and directing the programs and activities of a medium to large medical organization. *Experience in scholarly endeavors, examples including research, curriculum design, successful grant funding, national and regional presentations, and publications.
