JOB OVERVIEW
The Department of Cancer Biology at University of Cincinnati College of Medicine is seeking a self-motivated research assistant to assist the research on selective autophagy of astrocyte in neurodegenerative diseases and in brain metastasis. Part of the responsibility is to assist the daily running of the laboratory of Dr. Chenran Wang . 

This position will be a professional position paid at an hourly rate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Duties include but are not limited to:

*Ordering and organizing laboratory supplies and records  *Assisting with experiments involving basic biochemical, molecular and animals by following standard laboratory protocols. 
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Neurobiology and other Biological Sciences, or in a related field.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*MS degree in Biochemistry, Neurobiology and other Biological Sciences, or in a related field preferred.   *Experience and strong interest in laboratory research. *Prior experience with animal studies, immunohistochemistry, or RNA-seq/ChIP-seq analyses.   *Previous experience and knowledge with neural cell culture, protein, DNA and RNA purification, animal surgery and mouse colony management are advantageous.
