ABOUT THE COLLEGE OF NURSING
The College of Nursing is seeking a full-time Nursing Simulation Coordinator to join our team in the Simulation and Skills Lab. The Simulation Coordinator will work on simulation-based activities across the undergraduate and pre-licensure programs. This project is grant-funded with a duration of 2 years expected to last through June 30, 2023. The UC College of Nursing is a comprehensive nursing college with 30 nursing majors and programs with enrollment of approximately 3,000 students. The UC College of Nursing was the first BSN program in the country and has many nationally ranked programs.

JOB OVERVIEW
Supervise daily operations of simulation development and case studies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*In collaboration with the Lab and Simulation Director, oversee the regular maintenance and repair of all simulation equipment including human patient simulators, computers, monitors and a variety of clinical durable medical equipment A/V & debriefing systems. *Recommend future equipment and supply purchases. *Facilitate the adult learning process to create a psychologically safe climate to support learning across the curriculum and programs. *Create, implement, facilitate, and debrief simulation-based learning and assessment activities within and across undergraduate and pre-licensure programs. *Participate in assessment of student learning activities necessary to meet prescribed student learning outcomes. *Maintain relevant simulation-based education through the review of relevant journals, abstracts, and scientific literature including underlying educational theories work/interact effectively with diverse populations, showing respect and sensitivity for cultural sensitivity. *Perform related duties based on departmental need.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Bachelor's of Science in Nursing.

REQUIRED TRAININGS/CERTIFICATIONS
Valid unencumbered Ohio license as a Registered Nurse.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
*Three (3) years of clinical experience. *Experience in simulation-based education and training.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Master's of Science in Nursing. *Experience in a higher education. *Previous experience as a nurse educator. *Current Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) Certification.
