JOB OVERVIEW
A full time Post Doc Fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Andrew Norman in the Department of Pharmacology & Systems Physiology at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** College of Medicine. Assist the Principal Investigator in a given department or field. The Norman Lab has generated a humanized anti-cocaine antibody that is beginning Phase IB clinical trials. The incumbent would have the opportunity to work on site directed mutagenesis of antibodies and lead candidate development, and will support the lab in grant writing and submission. Positions are temporary appointments as a research trainee.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Conduct research experiments in a particular field within the pre-determined research scope and methodology. *Engage in research experiments and assist other laboratory personnel. Actively assist in experiments, which may include, but are not limited to, site directed mutagenesis of antibodies, rodent tissue collection, cell culture, ELISA, affinity testing, and pharmacokinetics. *Gather and analyze data and develop new ideas that promote current research. *Prepare data summaries, reports, manuscripts and presentations of research results. *Participate/assist in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and/or presentation; may assist in grant writing. *Keep informed of developments in field to maintain and enhance professional expertise. *Lab maintenance, including equipment maintenance and ordering of supplies, as needed. *May teach techniques to others, train, and mentor junior research staff. *Engage in appropriate training and professional development opportunities.  *Play an active role in seeking career and research advice, both from the faculty supervisor and from other faculty members as well.  *Provide flexibility when required and work occasional shifts to ensure strict deadlines are met. *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION
Doctoral Degree in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
