ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Clinical duties will likely include responsibilities for treating patients while accompanied by learners such as our students, residents and fellows. Patient care and teaching activities are conducted at UC Health facilities and, based on specifically approved initiatives, at other health care systems. Estimated clinical efforts will include five 4-hour outpatient clinics each week, and 8 weeks of inpatient or consult service each year. Participation in a pro rata amount of on-call coverage, which is not to exceed 8 weeks annualized, unless additional compensation is provided according to departmental standards, is expected. This and academic mission position, for which effort distribution is negotiable and may include non-clinical time for research, teaching or administration. These positions are supported by dedicated administrative staff and advanced practice providers. Compensation is highly competitive with the opportunity for incentives based on clinical and/or academic productivity. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Applicants for this faculty position must have all of the following prior to effective date of appointment: Medical Degree or foreign equivalent; Ohio Medical License; Board eligibility or Board certification in Hematology or Hematology and Oncology.
