ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
*Manage all aspects of research program and clinical studies including education, teaching and training. Assist in planning, writing and implementing the clinical study's goals and objectives. *In conjunction with Principal Investigator (PI) or Director, interpret and apply current research findings in area of clinical specialty. *In conjunction with PI and Director, report findings in professional journals and local, state, and national conferences. Edit abstracts and manuscripts. *Develop and execute data management plans. Assist with development of analysis plans. Conduct basic analysis and interpret findings. *Create, test, troubleshoot, and provide advanced maintenance for databases.  *Act as a liaison with medical staff, university departments, ancillary departments and/or satellite facilities. *Act as a consultant within area of clinical expertise. *Prepare and submit research documentation (i.e. IRB submissions, educational materials, reports, grant renewal reports, and study forms). *Act as a resource for faculty and staff regarding contracts/budgets for industry and sponsored research. Serve as a referral resource. *Work with necessary parties to identify compliance, legal, IP and business/financial risk. Mitigate risk through working with physicians/faculty, divisions, legal and/or other departments. *Utilize skills to contribute to UC/UCPC strategic planning. *Maintain budgets and contracts. *Maintain clinicaltrial.gov records. *Assist with creation of case report forms.  *May serve as Principal Investigator on select research projects. *May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).  *Perform related duties based on departmental need. REQUIRED EDUCATION
*Bachelor's Degree *Nine (9) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Five (5) years related experience.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS CONSIDERED
*Experience in an academic or clinical setting in the area of clinical specialization. *SoCRA or ACRP certification.
