JOB OVERVIEW The College of Medicine, Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Infectious Diseases Research Unit (IDRU), Virology Laboratory, is currently accepting applications for a full time 100% FTE, research assistant, to assist with processing, storage, and shipment of clinical research study samples. This individual will work collaboratively to ensure protocol adherence and integrity of study samples. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS *Responsible for processing, storage, and shipment of specimens as defined by protocol requirements using provided lab manuals in accordance with established policies, procedures, and trainings. *Apply critical thinking skills to resolve errors and streamline efforts. *Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Must be available to work flexible hours/nights/weekends. REQUIRED EDUCATION *Bachelor's Degree. *Five (5) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE Additional related work experience may be required depending on field or discipline.
