General Description of Position:
The Assistant Director, Talent Acquisition and Diversity has responsibility to support the talent acquisition process for the campus and the successful implementation of campus’ diversity, equity, and belonging strategies in recruiting, selection, and hiring. This position will source, identify, screen, and hire candidates for various roles at the campus under the direction of the Executive Director of Human Resources.
Additionally, in partnership with the Executive Director of Human Resources, the Assistant Director will support the workforce to resolve any issues related to Diversity, Equity, and Belonging and ensure that the campus is addressing the relevant needs of its faculty and staff.
The position will work closely with the campus Director of Student Life & Belonging and Office of Diversity, Equity and Belonging at Systems Office to create an organizational culture that sets clear expectations, provides appropriate support, and engenders respect and dignity at all levels of the organization.
Major Responsibilities:
Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and candidate selection criteria
Source applicants through online channels, such as online recruiting boards and professional networks.
Create job descriptions and interview questions that reflect the requirements for each position
Compile lists of most-suitable candidates by assessing their resumes, CVs, portfolios, and references.
Organize and attend job fairs and recruitment events to build a strong candidate pipeline
Assess campus needs relating to diversity, equity, and belonging in hiring practices and employee engagement.
Facilitate and monitor campus-wide initiatives and organizational structures that facilitate inclusion and equity.
Prepares reports for presentation to senior leadership and the Campus Board of Trustees.
Develops, implements, and monitors trainings, professional development and educational programs for faculty and staff that promote and sustain diversity, equity and belonging in regard to the selection and hiring process.
Assists with Affirmative Action and other Equal Employment Opportunity programs and initiatives.
Serves as a liaison for employees who have specific issues related to inclusion and equity and works with internal channels to address issues of bias, equity and/or belonging.
Represents the College at various community, civic, professional meetings, and conferences, as requested.
Partners with Marketing to provide consistent message regarding employment with the college.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required
3 years of related experience in talent acquisition and/or diversity initiatives.
Experience in full-cycle recruiting, using various interview techniques and evaluation methods
Ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees.
Ability to build relationships through community outreach and engagement.
Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing.
Good judgment, discretion, tact, and the ability to work easily with senior leaders within higher education, government, and business sectors.
Ability to partner well with colleagues both in and outside of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree and/or related professional certification preferred.
Other Requirements:
Work Hours:
Typical business work hours, may be adjusted during peak times.
Hiring Range:
$40,000 - 45,000 annually based on experience
