General Description of Position:
The Justice Involved Program Manager (JIPD) implements strategies for the justice involved student population and talent pipeline development.
Reports to the Director of Career Coaching and Special Projects and works collaboratively with the Director of Employer Sponsored Students (AYD), Employer Consultants, Sr Director of Community Engagement, Director of EMI, Student Success teams, Diversity Equity and Belonging, and other campus leaders to develop collaborative strategies to holistically support students and community. The program Manager will also work with justice involved adults and youth, incarcerated individuals, correctional staff (community corrections, parole, probation), community resource providers, individuals on parole/probation, reentry programs, and justice involved programs/agencies to build strategies and coordinate wraparound services to ensure program retention and access to high-wage, high demand jobs.
Major Responsibilities:
Reports directly to the Director of Career Coaching and Special Projects but works with Executive Director of Workforce and Career Placement, Sr. Director of Employer Connections, Sr Dir of Community Engagement and AYD Director to execute Career Link’s strategy related to justice involved clients, while striving to exceed College goals.

Facilitates efforts to reduce recidivism amongst program participants by implementing training and motivational milestones.

Collaborate with the Employer Consultant/Talent Connections Manager to do the following:
Leverage expertise in the labor market, employment placement, and partnership management to secure employment opportunities.
Cultivate Employer connections to deliver outcomes of student placement to diversify talent needs and expand talent pipeline engagement.
Maintain a database of employers who support justice involved efforts.
Maintain an employer toolkits for employers looking to support program participants.
Educate community/university stakeholders concerning program objectives, successes and needs/barriers surrounding justice involved individuals within the Marion, Boone, and Hendricks Counties.
Build strong partnerships with all stakeholders, community partners and agencies to enhance job opportunities, wrap around services and support. Through coordinated efforts between these entities, provide participant access to assistance with food, healthcare access, public safety support and counseling, expungement services, child support, driver’s license fee and ticket relief, etc.
Track, and maintain program specific metrics, goals, and accomplishments.
Work alongside the designated Career Coach and Talent Connection Manager to provide additional support, coordinate efforts and create targeted workshops to ensure student success.
Supports tracking of data within IvyAdvising, HireIvy, Ivyforce, and other campus platforms to inform trends and build strategies with an inclusive lens to support diversity, equity, and belonging of students and employer partners.
Works to meet campus strategy to support Career Link model during student orientation opportunities, K-14 outreach activities, Academic Affairs teams, Enrollment, and Student Success teams, and Diversity, Equity and Belonging team. Collaborate to inform internal campus teams of activities and data trends to support campus metrics and goals.
Expand board representation in Marion, Hendricks, and Boone counties.
Collaborate with local, regional, and state-wide stakeholders to create new partnerships and maintain high level of service to existing employer and community relationships.
Helps connect College programs with unique employer work-and-learn experiences for Justice Involved Participants.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required;

A minimum of two to five (2-5) years related experience with justice involved population.

Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.

Demonstrated skills and abilities to concurrently manage complex tasks and flex priorities as needed, while maintaining an organized and concise workflow.

Must have excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Commitment to student learning outcomes, staff development, and diversity required.
Must be able and willing to travel to and from campuses and professional development activities.

Ability to work within an entrepreneurial framework and scale a large project required
