General Description of Position:
The Executive Director Data Analytics is a key member of the campus team and responsible for the creation, documentation, and support of Indianapolis campus core/standardized reports from the colleges reporting database(s). This position may also provide end-user training on report writing software and support users in ad-hoc report creation.
Major Responsibilities:
Leadership
• Provides thought leadership and acts as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues on the campus using data drive insights related to performance to advise and develop strategies for operational improvements.
• Responsible for driving departmental culture and promoting data-driven decision-making, consumer-driven analytics, marketing, recruitment, retention, and investment planning across the campus.
Analytics
• Leads measurement framework development and defines the business key performance indicators alongside senior data and analytics leadership.
• Drives and oversees initiatives to meet and even exceed performance expectations, key metrics, and enable overall profitability of the campus.
Strategy
• Provides management visibility into data-driven insights that inform the campus’ strategic direction and key performance indicators.
• Translates analytics outcomes into actionable insights and recommendations in the service of college objectives and results
• Supports other business executives and departmental leaders in making strategic, data-driven decisions, regarding new products, additional use cases, customer segments, investments, among other subjects.
Collaboration
• Works closely with end-users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing/validation.
• Trains end users in reporting database(s) and ad-hoc report creation.
• Provides end user support on core/standardized reports and ad-hoc report creation.
• Works with and provides guidance to information systems personnel or user agencies, for maximum utilization of college data.
• Create a diverse and collaborative team environment that ultimately leads to a highly engaged team and positive team culture

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree required with three (3) years of experience.
Proven ability to deliver training/demonstrations to end-users, experience writing technical and end user training documentation.
Must have the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of end users; possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills, be customer service and team oriented and have an appreciation for diversity, equity, and belonging.
Familiarity with a report writing tool such as Pentaho Business Analytics, Tableau, Looker, or Power BI required.

Experience with the following is considered a plus:
Tableau Reporting and Analytics
Ellucian’s Banner ERP system
Post-secondary education work experience in a functional area such as Human Resources, Finance, Financial Aid, Student Affairs, and Institutional Research or in Information Technology.
Cloud-based technologies, such as Snowflake data warehouse
“Big Data” analytic technologies
