General Description of Position:
Under limited supervision, administer and proctor a range of certification and academic exams both on campus (including roll up campus areas) and virtually. Provide appropriate proctoring services for both Ivy Tech students and non-Ivy Tech candidates according to required protocols and guidelines. Provide Library and Academic support services as needed and assigned. The position will work closely with the Testing Center Manager to maintain currency (certified proctor) in skills and procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide certification, assessment, and distance education exam administration according to the designated proctor policies and procedures.
Complete all required proctor and employee training and stay current with exam protocol changes.
Become certified in virtual proctoring. Must have required internet connection and the ability to work from home when required.
Adjust testing procedures for individuals according to documentation provided by the DSS Coordinator prior to testing session.
Assist with scheduling testing center activity.
Maintain inventory of certification testing materials, vouchers, score units, etc.
Assist the Testing Center Manager and/or Director of Learning Resources with assigned tasks that can be completed during slow proctoring periods.
Assist in keeping the assessment and certification centers organized, clean, supplied and well maintained.
In Academic Support capacity, provide excellent technical support including email, Microsoft Office, Library resources, IvyLearn (Canvas), course specific software and refer all issues unable to resolve to proper individuals.
Additionally in Academic Support capacity, keep statistical information as required for library usage and material counts.
Be willing to work flexible and expanded hours when the need arises and during heavy volume testing.
Other related or appropriate duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Due to access of testing materials, current Ivy Tech Community College students may not be considered for the position.

Must exhibit excellent interpersonal communication, telephone, confidentiality, and customer service skills.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
Excellent word processing and spreadsheet computing skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace are required.
Requires the ability to interpret and understand complex assessment instructions, to use problem solving techniques as they arise and to reason and make decisions.
