General Description of Position:
The Administrative Support Clerk provides. administrative, clerical and operational support to the Lamkin Student Success Center.
The Lamkin Center, a part of Ivy Tech Community College Evansville, helps connect our students with the resources they need to succeed. Whether it be Student Success Workshops, community-based resources, mental health counseling, work-life-school balance, or emergency aid, the Lamkin Center is here for the students.
Major Responsibilities:
The Administrative Support Clerk assists in the administration and daily operation of the Lamkin Student Success Center including:
Answers phone, greets and responds to inquiries from students, alumni, staff and the general public.
Provides guidance and/or information on services offered by the Lamkin Student Success Center. Assists Success Center staff with ongoing projects, prepares copies, types documents, distributes mail, prepares office communications and coordinates office spaces
Schedule student appointments for Lamkin Center Staff.
Assist with intake and follow up for students requesting and utilizing Ivy Cares resources.
Maintain Ivy Closet / Food Pantry / Grab and Go Tables.
Maintain resource flyers, brochures, and other marketing materials associated with Lamkin Center.
Facilitate Lamkin Case Management Meetings.
Coordinates Peer Tutor orientations, peer/student appointments, creates and maintains personnel files, tracks tutoring hours and coordinates ongoing appointments for Student Success Center staff advisors.
Provides training and support for student employees, updates student training materials and documentation.
Provides administrative oversight for the Student Success budget, prepare all financial documents for purchasing and travel; maintains budget balances, process payroll documentation for new student employees and maintains electronic and paper filing records; maintains electronic tracking systems for student appointments.
Plans, organizes and assists with special event planning, including catering, room confirmations, reservations, publicity, etc. The above list of duties is not to be construed as an exhaustive list.

Minimum Qualifications:
An Associate Degree in Office Administration or equivalent work experience
Strong computer application skills required.
Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Microsoft Office Specialist certification. Able to type 50 wpm.
