Adjunct Faculty - Diagnostic Medical Sonography
Terre Haute, IN Work type: Adjunct Faculty Location: Terre Haute, IN Categories: Adjunct Faculty General Description of Position: Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided. Major Responsibilities: MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Facilitates student learning by delivering assigned classes in accordance with College policy and course objectives. Makes optimal use of available technology to enhance instructional methods. Develops/maintains course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, assignments, tests, and materials. Maintains accurate student records, grades, and other requirements. Engages with students in meaningful and productive ways that impact student learning and leads to a positive experience with Ivy Tech Community College, shows evidence of developing and implementing active classroom teaching strategies focused on engaging students with their learning (curricular). Interacts with students and co-workers in a professional and cooperative manner, complies with College policies, campus guidelines and expectations. Ensures knowledge of and implements emergency and safety procedures for classrooms, labs and all learning environments. This is not to be construed as an exhaustive list. All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards. Minimum Qualifications: DMSI 101, 201 Course Standard: Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from regionally accredited institution, and Has two years of directly related work experience; and Holds one of the following credentials Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) (RCS), or (RVS), or American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS (ABD, OB/GYN), RVT, RDCS, or American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(S)(V) DMSI 110, 114, 116, 150, 204, 210, 214, 216, 295 Course Standard: A qualified faculty member or clinical coordinator teaching DMSI 110, 114, 116, 150, 210, 214, 216, 295 and 201 meets all three of the following criteria: Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from regionally accredited institution, and Has two years of directly related work experience; and Holds one of the following credentials Register Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) (RVS DMSI 102, 103, 105, 113, 202, 203, 205, 206, 295 Course Standard: A qualified instructor and/or clinical coordinator teaching DMSI 101, 102, 103, 105, 113, 201, 202, 203, 205, 206, 295 meets all three of the following criteria: Possesses an earned associate or higher degree from regionally accredited institution, and Has two years of directly related work experience; and Holds one of the following credentials, appropriate to the course American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS (ABD, OB/GYN), or American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(S) DMSI 121 Course Standard: A qualified faculty member teaching DMSI 121 meets the following criteria: Possesses an earned Associate or higher degree from a regionally accredited institutions, and Has two years of directly related work experience, and Holds one of the following credentials: The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists RT (R), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), (RCS), (RVS), OR American Registry Diagnostic Medical Sonographers ARDMS (ABD, OB/GYN), RVT, RDCS, or American Registry Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (S) (V) Preferred Qualifications: Other Requirements: Work Hours: Hiring Range: $38.25 per contact hour Team Ivy Referral: Special Instructions to Applicants: Advertised: 11 Jan 2023 US Eastern Standard Time Applications close: |
