General Description of Position:
The IMPACCT Ivy Scholars Program
is a scholarship and academic enrichment program that assists students that face barriers to college success by helping them reach their academic and professional goals.
The IMPACCT Ivy Scholars Program Coordinator will manage the program in accordance with college guidelines, policies and follow the donor gift agreements within the Ivy Tech Foundation Evansville campus.
The program coordinator will oversee all facets of the programs, monitor and evaluate all components, and make appropriate adjustments to enhance participant success.
Major Responsibilities:
Demonstrate a strong customer service and/or student advocacy through a positive attitude of approachability, adaptability, strong problem-solving and desire to identify and support student success.

Engage in behaviors that create an inclusive environment in which all people are valued and supported.
Go beyond the easiest or surface answer for a student and get to the root cause of the problem, question or issue to solve it as quickly and professionally as possible.

Manage the IMPACCT Scholars programs including facilitation of monthly scholar meetings; orientation events; coordination of annual End-of-the-Year Celebration, marketing and recruitment, academic transition of graduates, coordination of resources and other events.
Coordinate with and advise program participants about ancillary services, which include but are not limited to: financial assistance, career counseling, academic advising, campus and community resources, assessment, mentoring and tutoring.

Provide comprehensive retention management for the program participants, including the teaching of college success skills workshops and service learning.

Collect and track data related to the program participants as well as generate the appropriate internal and external reports for the Ivy Tech Development office.

Recruit and identify qualified program applicants and coordinate the selection of the program participants.
Administer scholarship stipends base upon participants level of participation, academic performance, and need.

Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned. All duties are to be carried out under the guidelines of FERPA.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (social work, psychology, human resources or education)
Three (2) years of progressive experience in a related field including supervisory experience required.
Two (2) years of higher education experience required.
The position requires the ability to work with a diverse group of students.

The position requires initiative and the ability to make decisions as well as case management knowledge. Successful applicant must possess strong reporting, writing, and editing skills. Successful applicant must be experienced in the use of computers, handling multiple priorities and solving problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree preferred.
