General Description of Position:
Manages IvyOnline/Ed Tech human resources function, with specific responsibilities for administration of: College policies and procedures, employee relations, performance management, faculty agreement administration, legal compliance, compensation, training and talent development, onboarding, benefits and HRIS. Primarily responsible for the implementation of human resources programs that support College goals and objectives, operating within established timelines and budgets. The position is accountable for IvyOnline/Ed Tech human resources department operations and administration.
Major Responsibilities:
Directs the recruitment and hiring process for IvyOnline/Ed Tech faculty and staff positions and conducts and/or coordinates with campuses/Systems Office new employee orientation and on-boarding.
Implements employment policies and operating procedures in conformance with guidelines established by the College.
Maintains all employee records and files, including appropriate salary, classification, position management, evaluation, and benefits data (in coordination with hub). Reviews and monitors employee data entered into HRIS to ensure validity and accuracy.
Oversees the coordination of the full-time and adjunct faculty agreement management processes, including creating faculty agreements, confirming appropriate contact hours and rate of pay, acquisition of electronic signatures, and entry into HRIS.
Reviews adjunct faculty assignments and works with campus HR to ensure compliance with course loading standards.
In collaboration with appropriate Systems Office HR/Risk team members, administers workers’ compensation, risk management, leaves of absence, benefits, and wellness program for IvyOnline/Ed Tech faculty and staff.
In collaboration with the Systems Office Talent Development team, implements employee professional development and training initiatives and tracks employee completion.
Directs the completion of annual performance reviews and annual review of job descriptions.
Provides counsel and advice to IvyOnline/Ed Tech supervisors and employees on employee relations and performance issues.
Works collaboratively with the College Counsel’s office and Vice President for Human Resources on employment related matters.
Serves as the IvyOnline/Ed Tech HR representative in legal proceedings, working with the College Counsel.
In coordination with Systems Office HR team, plans and oversees employee recognition.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Direct supervision by Systems Office VP for Human Resources; dotted line supervision to Assistant Vice President - Distance Learning & Educational Technology Assistant Vice President of Distance Learning and Educational Technology.
SUPERVISION GIVEN: HR Coordinator (full-time), HR Data Entry Support Staff (1 FT and 1 PT)
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Three years’ work experience in a human resources department and three years’ of supervisory experience required.
Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices of human resources administration required.
Must be adept at resolving individual and group conflicts, and have excellent problem solving, decision making and written and oral communication skills.
Requires a highly self-motivated individual with demonstrated leadership abilities and hands on approach to analyze, develop and administer HR programs in a complex organization.
Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
Must have a strong customer service focus and service delivery approach and be able and willing to travel.
Preferred Qualifications:
