General Description of Position:
The Assistant Site Director is responsible directly to the Site Director in providing leadership, supervision, and guidance in the development, delivery, administration, and implementation of all programs and services delivered at the site while fostering a climate that is consistent with the College’s core values.
Major Responsibilities:
Student recruitment duties:
Responsible for lead generation and opportunity (applicant) conversion for an assigned case load of students in Ivy Connect by utilizing and following the case load recruitment map/plan.
Assist the site director in coordinating, planning, & scheduling site recruiting events (i.e. Go Ivy Day, Tuesdays @ the Tech, Go Green, etc,).
Participate in lead generation to intentionally increase the pipeline of nontraditional aged students from Putnam County. Attend strategic community events leading to increased enrollment for the site.
Serves on assigned local committees associated with job functions, or representing the college as needed.
Assist with the development of collaborative relationships with educational providers, workforce leaders, and key community stakeholders.
Assist with the dissemination of recruitment related materials in coordination with campus and statewide communications and recruitment efforts.
Cultivate opportunities to recruit nontraditional students through community partnerships and intentional programs (at risk focus, workforce development, industry training, etc)
Administrative support
If the site director is not available, provide oversight of facilities and grounds.
Maintain required documentation concerning office processes.
Coordinate ordering and distribution of office supplies and materials.
Facility purchases and arrange for payable requests.
General student and finance document processing & document imaging.
Communicate with vendors serving the facility and organize timely payments & feedback.
Student retention duties:
Works in collaboration with crucial internal partners: Academic affairs, Student Success Coach, Student Life, Disability services, Career Link, etc. to coordinate site activities and student retention efforts.
Assist in all areas of Student Success, directing students to resources, eliminating barriers, and ensuring their individual educational needs are met.
Assists in creating/maintaining an environment where planning, development, and delivery of service for students occur in an effective manner.
Assist in tutoring, using resources in the K.E.Y Learning Center.
Oversee & maintain student life calendar. Coordinate, plan, and execute student life activities at the Greencastle site.
Proctor scheduled testing (complete Proctor training)
Arrange/conduct training for student workers and provide daily oversite.
Work in collaboration with the Career Link team to procure and maintain workforce relationships, offering a pathway for Ivy Tech students.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree. Two years of experience in customer relations, recruiting, sales are essential. Prior experience in K-12 or higher education is preferred. Leadership experience to solve challenges and provide solutions for improvements is essential.
