General Description of Position:
Under the supervision of the Vice President for Healthcare, the Project Director will be responsible for successfully leading and implementing the College’s Indiana University Health, Inc (IU Health), Nursing Expansion Grant Program. This position will oversee the implementation and operationalization of the IU Health Nursing Expansion Grant that will allow the college to expand existing capacity for nursing enrollment through December 31, 2025. The grant provides for but is not limited to funding faculty & staff recruiting, equipment, student supports, and faculty compensation. This position will be primarily responsible for coordinating project deliverables, reporting, financial management, and metric management as stipulated in the grant proposal.
This is a grant-funded, full-time position. There is no guarantee for continued employment beyond the grant period, which ends on December 31, 2025.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide project leadership and management for the development and implementation of grant related activities, metrics and initiatives on a statewide level and provide assistance to participating Ivy Tech campuses.
Complete programmatic reporting as required by the scope of the grant agreement. Provide clear, consistent communication on a frequent basis with the VP for Healthcare, Ivy Tech staff and faculty, as well as partner organization about the progress of the grant-funded initiatives.
Manage the grant budget, including spending, projections, leveraged resources, and allowable cost activities under Uniform Guidance regulations.
Arrange, conduct, and report out from meetings, both virtually and in person, to facilitate grant activities. This will include travel to Ivy Tech campuses, to facilitate/attend meetings with external partners, and attend related in-state conferences as appropriate.
Maintain positive relationships with organizations as related to the grant activities.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Collaborate regularly with Systems Office Grants Management to review grant spending and activities follow regulations.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field.
Three years of related experience in healthcare and/or higher education programming
Knowledge and experience in grant management, including programmatic reporting and budget management.
Must be able to process and respond quickly, efficiently and thoroughly to a large variety of information requests in a positive and personal manner.
Must be able to effectively communicate and give directions and operate as a positive team member.
Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.
Ability to work under stress and demonstrate considerable patience and diplomacy is required.
Must possess ability to handle difficult situations and reach positive solutions and work on own initiative.
Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and process confidential information with the utmost discretion and according to current FERPA guidelines.
Strong oral and written communication skills and analytical skills required.
Excellent project management and organizational skills required.
Experience with spreadsheet software is required.
Must have the ability and willingness to travel within the state of Indiana.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree.
Successful direction and implementation of strategic initiatives at a system level.
Experience in Educational or Instructional Technology.
