Senior Business Analyst -SAP Payroll

BASIC PURPOSE: This position will assist the Love's Corporate information technology business by supporting the time, payroll, and scheduling systems.  This position will act as liaison among stakeholders and IT personnel to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements so as to provide effective and resourceful business and technology solutions. 

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Design, configure, and test changes to the SAP time, SAP payroll, Reflexis time and Reflexis scheduling systems as business needs change.  *Assist with establishing policies and procedures for business analysis activities. *Partner with the required Information Technology personnel for the development, maintenance, and support of business-critical solutions within the assigned/aligned business units.
      Leadership and Level of Responsibility

*Perform job duties with minimal direction and supervision. *Run meetings and project planning sessions as needed *Mentor business analysts with lesser experience.
      Strategy & Planning

*Collaborate with IT Management, project sponsors and other business analysts to assist in determining project scope via enterprise analysis. *Assist with researching, reviewing, and analyzing the effectiveness and efficiency of existing business analysis processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes. *Identify and employ appropriate techniques for business analysis and elicitation activities. *Elicit requirements via various techniques and prioritize and analyze the resulting requirements. *Identify and generate required business analysis work product based on the project scope and need. *Participate in Peer Reviews of other Business Analyst's work product. *Partner with IT personnel to assess and validate existing and resulting solutions to ensure quality of system and business needs are met. *Act as a liaison with the Corporate IT department to ensure optimal performance of the solution. *Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for IT Help Desk providing expert level support for assigned business units. *Develop process diagrams, use cases, user stories and test plans. *Perform system testing, facilitate user acceptance testing and application demonstrations.
      Solution Identification and Deployment

*Determine most favorable solution approaches via Enterprise Analysis in an unbiased fashion agnostic of solution origin within the agreed upon solution identification guidelines. *Perform other tasks as needed to deliver successful solution.
      Knowledge & Experience

*Skilled with business and technical requirements elicitation, analysis, communication, verification, validation and methodology development. *Successfully assist with the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products. *Skillfully create systematic and consistent requirements specifications in both technical and user-friendly language. *Competently apply statistical and other research methods into systems issues and products as required. *Significant understanding of Business Analysis Body of Knowledge.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

*Education:

*Bachelor's degree in Business in computer science, MIS or Business or equivalent experience and/or certification

*Experience:

*5 years of business analysis related experience preferred *5 years experience supporting SAP Payroll Systems preferred *5 years of experience with configuration of SAP Payroll in the following areas:  calculation schemas, wage types, taxes, garnishments, benefits, and accounting integrations preferred *5 years experience with time systems preferred

SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

*Skills:

*In-depth knowledge of databases, system integration skills, payroll processes, and time processes *Experience of the following areas of focus a plus:  Microsoft Office, SAP Payroll, SAP Time, Success Factors *Outstanding communications skills, analytical aptitude, business acumen, client focus, problem solving skills and technical initiative *Team-oriented, interpersonal skills, and able to work in a team envrionment *Understands customer requirements, ability to troubleshoot and solve problems with minimal to no supervision, adept in researching and making fact-based recommendations and decisions, skilled at developing relationships

*Typical Physical Demands:

*Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping. *Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. *Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator. *Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
