Business Systems Analyst - Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master
Oklahoma City, OK REQ ID:283264 BASIC PURPOSE: The Senior Project Manager/Scrum Master role involves the successful management and delivery of Sites & Logistics projects with a focus on customer objectives and goals. This involves interacting with business unit stakeholders, product owners, functional team members, technical team members, designers, developers, administrators and vendors to ensure project goals and objectives are being met. This individual will apply proven project management techniques relevant to the project and team performing them, whether that be in a ‘waterfall', agile or hybrid approach. As a senior level role, this person will also be responsible for coaching others in the practice of project management/scrum methodologies. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: *Serve as a mentor, coach, teacher and facilitator to develop self-organizing, high-performing teams. Work to remove impediments and keep the team moving forward without interruption or distraction. *Ensures clearly defined responsibilities and accountability for key project roles. *Guides the team in the setting of realistic objectives for delivery timeframes and continually manages project expectations with team and stakeholder in a traditional waterfall approach or in Agile/sprint delivery cycles. *For any agile project - facilitate scrum ceremonies - Sprint planning, grooming, daily stand-ups, sprint demo, retrospectives and feature planning. Maintain team capacity, burn-downs, key metrics and dashboard reporting. *For any waterfall project - facilitate necessary meetings, resource/capacity models and planning, maintain project plan in appropriate tool by relevant project phase, reporting and stakeholder communication. *Leverage project management tools to document, track and report on project progress and outcomes and facilitate overall planning. *Identify opportunities for improving project flow. *Effectively conduct meetings spanning multiple teams on complex matters. *Follow standard project management methodologies to deliver projects on time, on budget and with high quality. *Proven track record of building strong relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts to earn their trust, confidence and respect. *Preparation and presentation of project status/progress reports to various audiences, focusing on appropriate content for the audience *Continuously broadens capabilities to effectively apply Project Management /Agile techniques and improve coaching and mentoring skills. *Demonstrates continuous improvement and encourages other team members to do the same. *Identify the best project management approach to use depending on the team and nature of the project and effectively execute as project manager. *Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple projects across teams, technologies and business areas. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *Education: *Bachelor's degree required *Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certifications preferred *Experience: *Minimum of 8 years project management experience *Agile methodology experience, including Scrum. *Project management expertise, leading large scale, complex and high value projects. *Familiarity with project management tools (Azure DevOps/VSTS, MSProject, etc.). SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *Skills: *Detail oriented, with ability to explain the conceptual and speak to the detail of a project, relative to goals, tasks, resources and success criteria. *Ability to prioritize and manage numerous competing demands in a high stress environment *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Works independently and able to make decisions quickly when necessary *Typical Physical Demands: *Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping *Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds *Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator *Requires normal range of hearing and vision JOB FUNCTION(S):[[mfield1]] CLEAN PLACES, FRIENDLY FACES.
