Business Systems Analyst - Accounting/Finance
Oklahoma City, OK Req ID: 284861 BASIC PURPOSE: Responsibility for projects, support and optimization of financial systems and processes throughout SDLC lifecycle, including Analysis, Design, Testing, Implementation, Execution and Innovation. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: *Drive implementation and improvement projects for business areas supported *Understand integration points between financial systems and SAP-ECC, external vendor and other business systems *Quickly understand business needs and translate that understanding into a form that leads to the creation and/or composition of better solutions *Elicit, communicate and manage internal and external customer requirements *Work with business leads to prioritize work list *Clearly communicate project and break-fix status to business leads, manager, and other stakeholders *Analyze and document as-is and to-be processes and systems *Discover process gaps *Derive improvement potential for business areas supported *Provide input to establishing process performance measurements related to business systems and processes supported, including measurements for new solutions to determine successful implementation and drive optimization *Contribute to and support best practice process management approach for Business and IT *Provide expertise in change management, process management and project management *Contribute to the development of process standards and evaluation of tools as needed *Perform feasibility studies/solution reviews *Understand and ensure that quality standards are met *Working knowledge of business areas supported to serve as an advisor in business systems and process oriented solutions *Coordinating work of others to ensure solution delivery *Creation and execution of test plans and scripts in support of solution delivery *Other duties assigned as needed EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: *Education: *Bachelor's Degree required *Experience: *7 years directly related experience in an analyst capacity, designing and implementing IT solutions on various platforms *3 years managing projects *Knowledge of accounting/finance practices. *Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: *Skills: *Knowledge of various IT solutions, patterns and architecture *Knowledge of Accounting and Finance solutions, with experience in or integrating to SAP ECC 6.0 preferred *Knowledge of business intelligence, data warehousing, application design and integration, SOA, Microsoft.Net, web services and workflow/process automation *Strong Problem assessment/analytical skills/critical thinking *Capable of thinking of the big picture while sorting through details *Ability to be flexible in an ambiguous environment *Ability to work within resource and time constraints *Ability to manage 200 emails per day *Ability to manage numerous competing demands in an extremely high stress environment *Excellent verbal and written communication skills *Knowledge of Microsoft Suite of tools, including: Office, Visio, Excel, Project *Typical Physical Demands: *Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping *Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds *Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator *Requires normal range of hearing and vision Job Function(s): Information Technology Love's Travel Stops & Country Stores is the industry-leading travel stop network in the United States.
