Orbital ATK's Armament Systems Division in Plymouth, MN, is seeking a Test Engineer to support new programs.

Duties/Responsibilities:

As a Systems Integration and Test Engineer, the applicant will be required to support assignments in the creation of Master Test Plans (MTPs), Hardware Utilization Matrixes (HUMs), detailed Test Plans and Test Procedures and Test Reports in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment utilizing the applicable military specifications and standards as they relate to the verification/validation of the various rounds of ammunition. The applicant will be required to support programs and projects as part of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in the area of adhering to proper test engineering practices and procedures to ensure company work instructions and processes are followed. Additional tasks will be to support the engineering and design verification testing activities in coordination with the Orbital ATK IPTs, as well as the external customer. Also, the applicant will be required to organize, plan, develop the required documentation packages (including checklists), and support the various Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs) prior to test conduct. The candidate will support and oversee the various testing activities to ensure that the system requirements and program specifications are met. Other activities will include interfacing and coordinating with program managers, technical directors, design engineers, quality engineers, auditors, and customers. At times tasks will require additional work hours to be performed as overtime to support the various testing activities and milestones.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Systems, or Engineering.
* A minimum of 2 years of work experience performing as a Systems Integration and Test Engineer.
* Experience with Department of Defense (DoD) programs and projects as they relate to product verification and validation, test plan and test report generation, as well as test conduct.
* Strong understanding and application of the various military specifications and standards as they relate to requirements.

Job Summary

Under general guidance and direction, develop procedures, methods and tools for test, verification and certification of the company's products; validate testing activities and results.

Job Responsibilities

1. Develops procedures, designs instrumentation and fixturing for testing.
2. Ensures equipment is properly tested, calibrated and certified according to procedures.
3. Performs Tests, Collects and Analyzes test data and document results.
4. Generates and reviews reports.
5. May have some task lead responsibilities.

Education and Experience

Requires BS in Engineering & 2 years or Masters Degree in Engineering.

Other Requirements

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access and Excel)
