Summary/Responsibilities:

Ground System Testing

* Develop and execute test procedures for the IceSat-2 Mission Operations Center (MOC).
* Write post-test reports detail results
* Identify test failures ensure subsequent fixes are made to the system

Mission Operations

* Support validation of flight procedures, scripts, and telemetry pages
* Support mission readiness tests, rehearsals, spacecraft commissioning, and long-term operations
* Maintain the operations procedure/script library as required by modifying based on lessons learned, space/ground configuration changes

Mission Planning

* Coordinate with the science team and spacecraft engineers to develop executable mission plans to ensure the collection of required science data without violating spacecraft constraints
* Build and validate command uploads
* Create and distribute data products to ground stations

Configuration Management

* Ensure the proper versions of operations products (e.g. procedures, scripts, databases) reside on the operational network
* Ensure operations products in the primary MOC in Virginia and backup MOC in Arizona remain synchronized

Qualifications:

* BS degree in engineering, math, physics, or computer science, and 7 years of relevant experience, or a Master's Degree & 5 years of relevant experience.
* US Citizen capable of obtaining a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI).
* UNIX/LINUX.(Systems admin, experience preferred)
* Experience with real-time spacecraft command & control (ITOS experience preferred)
* Experience with scripting or programming languages is required
