Summary/Responsibilities:

A software/computer/electrical engineer, motivated to learn and excel in an avionics software development environment, is needed for immediate support of NSS and Commercial programs.

The ideal candidate will have experience programming in C/C , be knowledgeable of real time operating systems and be comfortable writing software and debugging it in an avionics integration and test environment. Excellent writing and reading skills are also desired as the candidate will be involved in the entire software development, test and operations lifecycle.

Candidates will participate in software requirements analysis and specification, test planning from unit to system level, planning and performing software qualification tests and writing test reports as part of teams developing software for both on-orbit and in-development spacecraft programs. In addition to writing and testing software, candidates will manage avionics test platform development projects from specification through design, procurement, certification and checkout. Familiarity with typical spacecraft avionics communication standards and basic electrical engineering practices is required.

The candidate will be responsible for coordinating laboratory test asset usage among engineering teams and ensuring the assets are compliant with in-house standards. The ability to work in a team setting and effectively communicate among diverse engineering teams is essential.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) and 8 or more years of related experience is required.
