Orbital ATK has an opening for a Senior Electrical Engineer in Chandler, AZ. The Senior Electrical Engineer will work with a team of engineers to support the Design, Integration and Testing for the Minotaur program. Support may include performing trade studies and design analyses, developing a functional block diagram, designing electrical cable assemblies, processing engineering design changes, performing tests on launch vehicles, processing test data and troubleshooting test anomalies. Investigate component test discrepancies. Also responsible for implementing internal and customer requirements on electrical systems. Support factory and launch site integration, test and launch activities. Other duties as required. Ability to obtain a security clearance and travel of up to 25% of the time may be required. Required Qualifications: * Candidate shall possess a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, plus a minimum of four (4) years of experience in a related field. * US Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance is required. * Electrical engineering candidate with an understanding of electrical and electronic system design, integration and test. * Some hands on test experience with electrical systems or components is required. * Successful candidate should have the ability to grasp system level concepts and aid in developing a system level design. * Skills to write test procedures and review test data ensuring that hardware is tested properly and properly verified are also required. * Demonstrated experience in launch vehicle design, launch vehicle and payload integration, system test and vehicle launch activities is preferred. * Demonstrated leadership experience is a plus. * Good interpersonal skills as well as ability to communicate with engineers and other departments are important. * The ability to perform engineering analyses or reports using tools such as PSpice or Matlab. * Documentation skills and experience on common PC desktop applications are also required. Position may be filled at a lower level.
