POSITION: Automated MCR Operator 1, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** JOB STATUS: Temporary Part time - 1 year contract LOCATIONS: 299 Queen Street West, Toronto SALARY: As per collective agreement Unifor 723M. Commensurate with qualifications and experience HOURS OF WORK: Availabilities to work 24/7 is required RESPONSIBILITIES: *Operation and monitoring of the Harris Automation System and associated Master Control Switchers / Graphic Devices *Live event program switching *Monitoring the quality and integrity of broadcast signals *Trouble shooting issues/failures in the broadcast path *Ensuring all broadcast compliant requirements are met *Loading and cross checks of Scheduled Broadcast Log files *Working knowledge of video servers and various VTR/DVR equipment *Operation of audio processing devices *Operation and routing of Closed Captioning Encoders QUALIFICATIONS: *Minimum two years of experience in a Conventional Master Control environment *Knowledge of ATSC and NTSC standards *Knowledge of Harris Automation, Master Control Switchers, Video Servers *Knowledge of video monitoring devices and equipment *Strong understanding of multi-channel audio and audio channel mapping *Successful applicants will be team players who possess problem-solving skills *Position requires demonstrated computer literacy *Post-secondary education in Television Broadcasting *Ability to adapt to change and handling high pressure situations Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
