POSITION SUMMARY:

Within the Bell Mobility family, the Wireless Network group is seeking a qualified individual to manage a regional RF Engineering team. This position will offer the selected candidate the opportunity to be a key player in the deployment of our rapidly evolving wireless network. The selected candidate will have the ability to take full accountability for the macro, meso, micro, pico, and in-building design of a large region for one of the most advanced 5G/LTE networks in the world. The ideal candidate will leverage opportunities to develop their leadership skills while developing talents in their area of influence.

Reporting to the Director, Wireless Technology and RF Engineering, the Regional RF Engineering Manager will be tasked with leading all RF engineering functions for macro, meso, micro, and in-building sites related to coverage, capacity and quality for 5G, LTE, and WTTP in a specific region/territory. They will lead a team of high performing and technical expert RF engineers to ensure we design and optimize that territory to the national standards, offering our customers the best network experience available.

JOB DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*Leading a team in a specific geographic region to deliver: *RF Nominal Design (macro, meso, micro, pico, in-building) *RF Detailed Design (macro, meso, micro, pico, in-building) *RF Pre and Post Launch Site / Cluster Optimization *Special Events Design and Performance *RF network customer support and escalation *Functional CAPEX and OPEX budget management *RF Interference Border coordination *Lead RF Planning sessions together with planner to deliver bottom up plan *RF SC6 Radiation Evaluation *Evolve design guidelines working the National Standards team *Participate in new technology introduction as the RAN evolves

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

*University degree in Electrical/Telecommunications Engineering or equivalent, continuing education or graduate degree in management is an asset *Minimum 7 years experience in wireless telecommunications, focused on RF Planning, Design, Optimization and Performance for HSPA, LTE and 5G, including at least two years leading teams at the manager level in that field (preferred) *People leadership, and ability to build partnership with key stakeholders *Strong understanding of wireless technology and best practices pertaining to RF Engineering and Network Performance. High technical proficiency in LTE, LTE-A, 5G, and WTTP. *Strong organizational skills *Autonomy and sense of decision making *Excellent communications skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

*Previous experience in managing teams of engineers for network engineering *Experience in project management using the agile/scrum approach *Experience of automation and/or software development within access networks

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
