Reporting to the Senior Manager of Systems and Experience, the Knowledge Management and Communications Application Developer will be responsible for developing and implementing innovative and dynamic communication solutions to support the evolving needs of channel communications, as well as maintaining existing system functionality and experiences. Candidates should have the ability to understand channel needs and operate in an agile environment interested in solving complicated technical problems.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Develop, maintain and support internal communication portal and update with new features *Establish standards for user testing, business requirements and implementation plans *Investigate, diagnose, and resolve issues with software *Create and maintain internal technical documentation *Facilitate identification of process improvements or system enhancements *Translate business requirement into effective technical solutions *Research industry trends, best practices and new technologies that will provide operational insights to internal teams, focusing on continuous improvement of the customer experience *Drive innovation and find opportunities to leverage emergent technology *Develop strong working relationships at various management levels to drive cross-functional alignment *Afterhours support during evenings/weekends is required
 
QUALIFICATIONS:

*Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent *5 years of product development experience *Experience with working in an agile environment *Experience in developing, supporting and integrating software solutions *Able to write code to automate processes and orchestrate deployments and manage code *Knowledge of SQL, SAS, Oracle, Windows, UNIX, Linux Operating Systems and network management tools *Knowledge of Internet Protocol *Knowledge of Visualization tools such MicroStrategy or Tableau for reporting/analytics *Fully versed in .jsp , .php, .asp, .NET, HTML , CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap, AngularJS *Fully versed in all office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) *Experience in graphic design is an asset *Team player who always put the interest of the team above all other priorities *Able to deal with multiple implementation projects simultaneously *Gifted thinker who is extremely resourceful and can learn new technologies on the fly, driven and proactive *Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills *Strong aptitude to recognize opportunities for improvement in day-to-day work and take appropriate actions *Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision making skills with a strong attention to detail *Enthusiastic & energetic in meeting/exceeding objectives and goals *Strong time management skills and work ethic (highly motivated) to manage multiple projects/accountabilities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

*Knowledge of Bell Canada's Products & Services as well as Media, Network, IT and Call Centre environments is preferred *Knowledge of databases, infrastructure and security standards *Experience with templating languages
