POSITION: Multi-Skilled Associate Producer, **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** LOCATION: Victoria, BC JOBS STATUS: Regular Full Time SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week. Additional overtime hours as required. **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** has an opportunity for an experienced writer/associate producer to join the CTV2 Vancouver Island newsroom creating content for TV and digital platforms. The successful candidate will be writing news for TV, helping research and gather daily news and build TV newscasts, along with writing and publishing stories for the CTV2 News website and social media streams. Reporting to the Senior Producer, the successful candidate will have experience that demonstrates exceptional editorial skills and professionalism. You must have: *A track record of producing compelling content for Broadcast and Online *The vision to build engaging and exciting newscasts *A history of successful newsroom collaboration *Experience writing daily news for TV, Radio or Online *Other duties as required RESPONSIBILITIES: *Help research, chase and write daily content for TV newscasts *Assist in video editing, picking clips, conducting ‘zoom' interviews for daily news *Package and publish content to the CTV2 News website *Post stories to multiple social media streams *Assist in building the daily rundown and taking the newscast to air MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: *Minimum 1 year writing experience (TV, Radio or Digital) *Journalism Diploma or Degree *Excellent news writing ability and copy editing experience *Proven ability to work with a team under high stress situations DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: *In-depth knowledge of Vancouver Island and British Columbia current affairs *Experience using iNews *Familiarity with Desktop video editing *Experience writing digital content Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
