Bell Canada's IT Delivery team is responsible for finding solutions and delivering on projects to support the Call Center Infrastructure Program

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, procurement and supervision of project activities, as well as financial and risk management.  The incumbent will work with various delivery flow managers, and their client counterparts to manage the entire project management plan, financial data, and change management process. The incumbent will also be responsible for identifying and mitigating project-related (financial and operational) risks and delivering projects on time and within the budget. Excellent communication skills are required.

JOB DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The successful candidate will be accountable for the following:

*Assume responsibility for funded projects and communicate frequently with clients to report progress. *Schedule Management - Ensuring the establishment and dissemination of project timelines and participating in the determination of project scope in the form of manageable components. *Financial Management - oversee forecasting, budget tracking and analysis, as well as evaluation, documentation, and communication management to completion. *Risk management: communication, mitigation and monitoring of all risks related to the project. *Status and Communication Management - Responsibility for the development of project status communication for senior management. *Change Management - Responsible for the efficient and timely management of the change management process, as well as the proper understanding and tracking of all project change requests. *Process Management - Participate in project delivery best practices and act as a focal point for overall project status. *Work closely with business partners and IT teams to mitigate project risks and maintain momentum. *Provide leadership and guidance to the project team.

CRITICAL QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

The successful candidate must have: 

*Strong business sense *Technical experience in telecommunications system development *Strong facilitation, negotiation and communication skills *Team spirit and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects *Proven leadership skills and excellent organizational skills *Excellent analytic skills *Proven ability to deliver complex multiplatform solutions

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:

*College or University degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or a related discipline *Project Management Certification, i.e. PMP, ITIL (an asset) *Knowledge of SAP system and Bell internal policies *Experience with the Microsoft Project application and other project management tools

WORKING CONDITIONS:

*Ability to efficiently work in virtual teams, handling multiple projects with geographically dispersed team members *Ability to travel  *Fast paced and changing working environment

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
