This position is responsible for the day-to-day implementation, documentation and operational data processes to ensure the customer base and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is complete, up-to-date and accurate. This includes implementing governance processes for managing data transfer from our corporate master database, data labelling and solutions for improving data integrity. A key focus of this role is to define and monitor metrics for data governance activities, adherence and exceptions.  This position is our data subject matter expert for marketing automation.

Role Responsibilities:

*Prioritize data quality issues and proactively resolve in a timely manner *Develop automated solutions to eliminate manual work to optimize both data analytics and personalized customer communication *Lead or participate in working groups to gather requirements and collaborate with subject matter experts *Proactively review, analyze, and where applicable investigate requirements of business teams and/or campaigns in order to provide recommendations and translate into technical and functional specifications *Guide the design and implementation of solutions, including applying test cases to ensure success prior to implementation *Support the day-to-day reporting and analysis for The Source customer base and associated CRM activity *Provide knowledgeable recommendations for new reports/analyses that will contribute to deeper understanding of the customer, including predictive analysis & segmentation analysis *Build & manage relationships with key teams including BI, IT, Marketing, Salesforce and external agencies *Proactively expand knowledge of our various internal data sets, the architecture of Salesforce, SQL queries, and how the three interact *Create project documentation, share knowledge with users and provide in user support

Skills and Expectations

*1-3 years of experience in the same or related type of job *2-3 year college/ university degree or equivalent in Marketing or a relevant field *Expert level Microsoft Excel and strong computer skills required *Good command of SQL in query creation and data extraction; comfortable with data manipulation and analysis *Experience with direct marketing required, Salesforce Marketing Cloud preferred *Experience with Salesforce.com an asset *Passionate about working with data with a broad knowledge of all aspects of enterprise data, data quality, and data governance *Detail oriented, with strong  verbal and written communication skills to support explaining complex concepts *Ability to think creatively and conceptually, with the ability to build new processes in a sometimes undefined and fast-paced environment *Excellent organizational, collaboration, problem solving, and time management skills
