NAME AND DESCRIPTION OF THE HIRING TEAM:

Wireline network provisioning team is responsible for the design, capacity management and construction of the country's largest telecommunications network.

ROLE:

Access network provisioning is looking for a candidate to fill a Network Manager position. Access network planning and provisioning creates fiber network solutions to support Bell products and services, residential as well as commercial. Our knowledge of networks creates value and influences investment decisions to meet market challenges. The Network Manager is primarily responsible for engineering the access network within an engineering and construction team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

*Initiate at the right time the engineering projects of access network provisioning in its territory in order to meet the dates requested by our internal and external customers. These projects usually consist of the construction of underground and/or aerial structures, the laying of copper cables, fiber optic and various associated equipment. *Manage the existing access network's distribution and power. *Plan, manage and prioritize the volume of work in the territory. The specialist is the master of its territory. *Responsible for forecasting and monitoring the budget of the projects. *Analyse current and future client needs to determine optimal network architecture. *Design solutions, select appropriate equipment or facilities. *Oversee the completion of engineering plans for implementation and improvement of the access network. *Manage relationships with third parties: Hydro-Québec, cable companies, property developers, competitors, municipal representatives and others. *Manage and get involved in different challenges through collaboration teams on quality improvement, processes, work organization and others. *Ensure continuous development of knowledge in project management and network technology.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:  

*Excellent ability to work in a multidisciplinary team *Strong leadership capacity *Excellent knowledge in project management *Be autonomous and able to make prompt decisions *Good understanding of access engineering and construction teams *Degree in Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Telecom or other engineering *Knowledge of access network architectures and telecom technologies *Ability to manage multiple files at the same time *Have a good analytical thinking, good judgment, be responsible and rigorous *Be an ambassador of Network's 3.0 values *Open to change and experimentation *Be open to giving and receiving coaching *Ability to identify and propose opportunities for improvement of existing processes *Good knowledge of SAP (P50) *Good knowledge Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) *Bilingualism is an asset *Valid driver's license
