Senior Business Analyst, IT

The Bell Mobility team offers a full range of wireless products and services for residential and business customers, including the largest selection of superphones on the fastest and most advanced network technology, under the Bell Mobility and Virgin Mobile brands. The Bell Mobility Wireless, IT team is looking for a talented Business Analysts to lead the delivery of IT solutions on behalf of the Bell Mobility business that drive growth with innovative services. The successful candidate will work for and alongside a Project Manager, and will partner with other IT teams such as Planning, Architecture, Infrastructure, etc. as well as external vendors such as CGI, Amdocs and IBM. JOB DUTIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: *The Business Analyst, supported by the Project Manager, is responsible for gathering and documenting the business requirements and then ensuring that the deliverables produced by the development effort conform to the business requirements. *Beyond the facilitation of the up-front business requirements and system requirements gathering sessions and resulting documentation, the role also involves driving the user acceptance testing process, including preparation of acceptance criteria, review of the test plans and scenarios, review of test results as well as taking responsibility for end to end testing. In some cases the Business Analyst also executes test cases and directly ensures system integrity. *The Business Analyst is also involved in key development and design deliverables, including (and not limited to) interface specifications, integration requirements, data schemas, and design documentation, as well as the business's implementation and conversion strategies and plans. *Contributing to the project planning and administration. *Act as liaison for cross-functional team, including vendor and business partners. *Partner with Enterprise Architects and technical primes to work on projects' conceptual/architectural solutions. *Partner with the Project Manager in delivering highly successful projects, joint activities include (and not limited to): *Organize customer and internal team meetings to identify and validate business and system requirements. *Lead vendor partners (such as AMDOCS and CGI) through the application development project phase. *Ability to identify and quantify risks relevant to business and systems requirements, delivery timelines/quality, budget constraints, etc *Coordinate and communicate various aspects of projects; including producing status reports, meeting minutes, issue logs, and informing cross-functional teams of decisions and progress. *Schedule and mediate team meetings, follow up on issues, obtain sign-off from project stakeholders on completion of documented deliverables. ESSENTIAL SKILLS / COMPETENCIES: *Bachelor's Degree, or similar post secondary education in an area such as IT, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Telecommunications (proven and documented experience can be used in place of education). *Related work experience is essential and should include experience in process modeling as well as experience with multi-tiered application development, infrastructure and networking concepts and practices. *Significant experience leading multi-disciplinary Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions. *Significant experience dealing with multiple vendors in the creation of end to end solutions. *Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills. *Leadership experience defining requirements and solutions related to wireless services and *Absolute ability to see the business problem and business solution in the eyes of the customer. *Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project, Visio) PREFERRED SKILLS /COMPETENCIES: *Familiarity with Wireless Technologies including 5G Stand Alone (SA), Internet of Things and Machine to Machine Technologies would be an asset. *Familiarity with billing, charging and/or customer care applications is preferred. *Familiarity with call centre technologies, both custom and off the shelf is preferred. *Familiarity with Wireless ordering and supply chain tools/processes is preferred. *Related experience as a Senior Programmer/Designer or Systems Analyst. *Related delivery experience leveraging Scaled Agile Framework for enterprise (SAFe) #tech Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
