POSITION: Social Media Specialist - Etalk

LOCATION: 299 Queen St W. Toronto

SALARY: Commensurate with qualifications and experience

HOURS OF WORK: 40 hours per week. Overtime as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Developing social media strategies to promote various Etalk initiatives and campaigns *Support the editorial team by relaying trending topics, story ideas and viewer queries and suggestions *Organize and execute brand partnership initiatives on various social media platforms *Use insights and use analytics to build and grow Etalk's social media presence *Lead Etalk social media events and coverage throughout the year *Clear photos and video assets when needed *Other duties as assigned by Executive Producers and management teams

SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:

*Advanced knowledge of social media - Instagram, TikTok, Youtube, Twitter, Facebook and other emerging platforms *Passion for all things pop culture and entertainment, including television, music and film *Up to date on the latest current affairs and how it impacts the entertainment world *Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines of several simultaneous duties while maintaining focus and composure *Excellent communication skills - oral and written *Experience using Photoshop *Digital photography experience an asset *Ability to work independently with minimal supervision *Must be able to work on a tight deadline in fast-paced environment *Degree/Diploma in Television Broadcasting, Journalism, Design, Digital or equivalent experience *Please note the successful candidate will be required to work full time from the Toronto newsroom

Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
