Job Description:

In this role you will support the delivery and implementation of Shell Australia’s National Reconciliation Action Plan and associated Indigenous participation activities. This role will see you working with various teams within Shell to ensure the we grown and develop our indigenous workforce by offering direct and indirect job and contracting opportunities.

Reporting to the National Indigenous Participation and Cultural Heritage Manager, the role is the focal point for Shell’s Indigenous engagement in Western Australia.

Requirements of the role:

Support the Shell Australia RAP Board develop and deliver a National RAP that delivers tangible outcomes that are aligned with the needs of our Indigenous stakeholders.
Support RAP Champions in achieving their objectives to encourage and coordinate employee participation in Shell’s RAP journey and associated activities.
Ensure accurate reporting, tracking and progress of Shell Australia’s RAP commitments and associated budgets.
Ensure RAP documentation and administration is accurate and updated.
Develop and support delivery of Asset Indigenous Participation Plan.
Provide guidance on how Shell’s Assets engages with Indigenous stakeholders in a culturally appropriate way.
Provide guidance on how impacts to Indigenous communities are managed.
Provide guidance on commitments to investing into the Aboriginal communities through social investment programs.
Support HR to develop strategies to maximise Indigenous employment and retention.
Support Indigenous suppliers to increase access to Shell supply chain.

Requirements:

To be consider for this role you will have :

Extensive experience in engaging effectively with Indigenous communities and stakeholders
Demonstrated understanding of how to maximise Indigenous participation opportunities and outcomes
Ability to engage and influence effectively (internally and externally) at a variety of levels
preferred not essential a tertiary qualification/ University degree

In this role your excellent time management skills, ability to motivate others and a solid understanding of budget management will drive results. Your highly developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal teamed with an ability to work with others to foster collaboration will ensure your success in this role.
