Job Description:

Shell is looking for a Senior Injection Molding TSE for our new facility in Pennsylvania. In this position you will be able to provide competent and efficient technical service to our injection molding customers for polyethylene resin selection, injection molding processing and injection molding equipment parameters to optimize their injection molding equipment. In this role you will be able to;

Conduct injection molding trials at the customer’s facilities while working in a safe manner.
Provide detailed customer call reports of customer injection molding trials, customer visits & trade shows.
Create processing guides, trouble shooting guides & physical data property data sheets for our injection molding polyethylene resins.
Possess knowledge of competitive injection molding resins.
Possess knowledge of test methods for polyethylene & polyethylene injection molding parts.
Possess knowledge of multilayer injection molding parts for both industrial & packaging applications.
Utilize the knowledge of the injection molding equipment manufactures to optimize the performance of our products on the customer’s injection molding equipment.
Investigate customer complaints & issues using techniques such as Six Sigma methodology to get to the cause of challenging issues both externally & internally.
Champion customer needs & issues with marketing & manufacturing.
Provide injection molding technical expertise and guidance to sales & marketing teams on a regular basis.
Develop relationships with injection molding equipment suppliers & injection molding accessory suppliers.
Apprehend the current trends in injection molding and deliver this knowledge to our injection molding customers. Stay current with new technology in packaging & industrial injection molding parts and relate to our customers, thus enabling Shell to provide leadership in injection molding technology.
Be able to identify additional resources to help resolve internal or customer issues.
Train engineers & technologist on injection molding polyethylene & other resins on our injection molding.
Implement Scientific Molding Techniques on our injection molding equipment allowing us to demonstrate to our customers how to improve their molding quality, productivity & profitability
Develop & provide technical training to injection molding customers.
Maintain a safe work environment by complying with all safety policies and procedures.
Ability to travel, up to 50%.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in polymer material science, polymer product engineering and/or chemistry/chemical engineering.
Minimum of 10 years of substantial deep and broad technical experience in polyethylene injection molding in the area of product application technical service and/or product R&D preferably with a major producer, distributor, or polyethylene converter. Experience needs to be of recent nature.
Proven expertise in polyethylene injection molding technology with required exposure to Unipol polyethylene injection molding resins. Must not have any legal restrictions working with Unipol polyethylene technology.
Strong preference for projects which require trouble shooting customer issues.
Excellent communication skills in verbal, technical writing & presenting.
Strong understanding of quality & six sigma.
Willingness to travel.
Proven ability to interface with a broad spectrum of stakeholders including operations staff, research staff, commercial staff, and polyethylene customers.
Proven ability to work in a diverse and multi-cultural environment.
