Warehouse Worker I (BSNC Shareholders Only)

SUMMARY
**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** (BSNC) will accept applications from those persons who are original shareholders, have been gifted or inherited shares, are descendants of shareholders, or are spouses of shareholders of BSNC for this posting; these persons are herein referred to as “shareholders.” This is a core position for AIH and recruiting is ongoing.

This requisition is intended to create a pool of qualified BSNC shareholder applicants who will be interviewed for openings as they occur.  If you are qualified for the position, please apply and you may be contacted when a position opens. Time frames vary.
 AIH, a subsidiary of BSNC, is seeking resumes for a qualified Warehouse Worker I for the AIH Distribution Center in Anchorage, AK.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Receive and stock freight:
Unload freight and break down shipments, as required
Count and examine freight and reconcile piece counts with documentation
Prepare and update stock tags as needed
Stock and face inventory in the proper location and address any overstock situation
Order Pulling:
Pick up invoice and begin any required paperwork
Accurately select orders by location – locate items and check manufacturer, part number quantities and units ordered and pull merchandise. If item is stocked in multiple locations, identify and complete order
Safely move all stock to main floor and transport to staging area
Shipping:
Box and palletize for shipping
Ensure the items are properly packaged and weighted for safe shipping and accurate billing of charges to customer and from the vendor
Other general warehouse duties:
Operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently only after receiving proper training
Restock returned items and miss-picked products
Assist and upkeep facilities to included snow removal as required
Maintain warehouse equipment as needed
Maintain clean and safe work environment. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards
QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION
Required (Minimum) Qualifications
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
Subject to post-accident/reasonable suspicion drug testing
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ability to conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety
Ability to work well and communicate with others
Ability to follow directions from supervisors and seek assistance when needed
Ability to determine and differentiate quantities and units of measure such as pounds, pints, gallons, dozen, gross, etc. So as to determine proper piece count to match paperwork with physical items and packaging
Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Ability to properly use general warehouse material handling equipment
Ability to use proper situational awareness while working in a warehouse environment where you and other are using and operation forklifts, pallet jacks, packaging machines, ladders, box cutters, and other potentially dangerous equipment and tools

May be subject to frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Standing and walking for up to 8 hours per shift with occasional overtime.
Frequent climbing of ladders and stairs while carrying objects.
Frequent bending, reaching overhead, kneeling and squatting.
Frequent and often repetitive grasping, pushing and pulling objects.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job is performed in a warehouse setting.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS
As a condition of employment, may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results to obtain access to military base. Must have reliable transportation to/from work a necessity and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
