Estimator
Stavanger, Rogaland, Norway Key role within the Subsea Alliance with significant responsibility to ensure SSA consistency and quality and visualize value within Subsea Alliance project estimates/MLCs and overall Subsea Alliance performance. The estimator shall be part of a multidiscipline team and is expected to actively seek advice and perspectives from colleagues and leaders to develop a robust integrated estimate. He / she is expected to perform commercial and technical reviews and make decisions and recommendations. Although the position reports to the SSA Estimating Lead/MLC Coordinator it is expected that the Estimator takes on a Lead role for Estimating deliverables for smaller/simpler SSA projects. Accountabilities To assist with the correct implementation of Subsea Alliance (SSA) estimating and MLC function and processes, including education and development/improvement. Participate in driving improvements within the estimating area and support ongoing digitalization and flow efficiency initiatives. Consistent implementation of the standard estimate/MLC submission package(s) to demonstrate Subsea Alliance value proposition to all stakeholders. Assist with the development and management of a ‘rolling’ Alliance Performance Package supporting Alliance Manager and Commercial Manager in stakeholder management both internally and to the company’s industry peers and license partners. Responsibilities The estimator shall ensure the proper application of all company estimating function processes and procedures, along with compliance checks of Alliance Partner estimating deliverables as appropriate. Assist with the establishment and coordination of MLC/estimate submissions for approval as part of the SSA Commercial team. Interface with relevant project estimator prior to estimate/MLC submission Collaborate with and support to the Risk function within the Alliance to ensure correct level of contingency is promoted within estimates and MLCs. Liaise with the Subsea Alliance Planning function to ensure that MLC/Estimating submissions are fully inclusive of, and integrated with, project schedules. Preparation of and active participation in internal cost and schedule reviews. Detailed preparation of Alliance estimate and schedule development and benchmarking package to demonstrate competitiveness and best value to all stakeholders. Liaise with Corporate memory team regarding the preparation of benchmarking information and reliable and standardized flow of data from SSA to the Corporate memory. Assist with development of study/project waterfalls showing detailed review of how a particular estimate has developed over time. Assist with the preparation of communication packages for Steering Committee, client and external stakeholders. Assist with the delivery of commercial parts of Project MLC documentation, specifically Appendix B. Prepare Alliance close-out data for Client’s experience database.
