Planner / Scheduler - Commissioning

This role presents an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to make their mark on a greenfield project. The Role The Project has entered commissioning and now requires an experienced commissioning planner to take the lead on the final phase. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager the role is responsible for the execution of the site based planning function which includes: Assist in execution of overall planning, scheduling and general project control duties Use Primavera scheduling system for the preparation of project schedules and the analysis of emerging trends Interface with Delivery Champions, and Contractor organizations in the development, execution and maintenance of their respective scheduling efforts Capture and reports against project activity by developing progress and performance data to enable Project forecasts and status reports to be prepared for management review and action Gather and provide reliable schedule and progress trend information for input to company’s financial systems The Candidate Degree qualified in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management or other related technical field 5 or more years experience in Mining or Mineral Processing Projects Extensive experience in all aspects of planning & scheduling during detailed engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases of a large capital project. Proficiency in project controls tools and work processes: Earned Value, MS Office (spreadsheets, word processing, presentations, graphics) and Project Controls software (Primavera, etc.).
