Software developer (legal case management)

We are seeking a forward-thinking expert who will develop our case management software system. It is likely that you will have legal sector know-how, although this is not essential if your skills are transferable, and experience of leading on developing and supporting case management systems.
Candidates who progress to interview stage will be proficient in software development methodologies and architectural patterns and possess a strong understanding of system design principles, including scalability, performance, and security.
You will be competent with various programming languages and frameworks, as well as cloud technologies, and we will expect candidates to possess an appropriate qualification or equivalent system development experience. Experience of maintaining and interpreting SQL databases is desirable.
You will be based at our main Margate office. Working from home is often effective and we believe in its benefits, so have a permanent and occasional working from home policy. You would be welcome to propose up to 40% home working.
The successful candidate will possess excellent inter-personal skills and operate with integrity. You will work closely and proactively with our in-house and external contractor IT team. Self-confident and motivated, you will persistently push the boundaries of the business forward in all its aspects.

You may be considering re-locating to the East Kent coast or one of the inland towns and villages. If so, we will pay the buying and selling conveyancing fees of a successful candidate and assist with introductions to our extensive network of local estate agents. Thanet and Canterbury have a wide range of excellent schools that we can tell you about if you have school age children. If you would be moving away from the capital to take up post, Margate is on the high-speed train line to London.
The position is permanent, and your hours will be Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Your salary will be negotiable depending on experience.
