You will be securing and delivering steel coils, flat steel, and occasionally lumber. This is a physically demanding position, you are not just driving a truck! Climbing in/out of cab, on/off truck bed Securing Loads- bending, squatting, throwing chains, lifting wood Hook/Unhook trailer Push/Pull tarps on/off covered wagon Perform safety checks on your truck/trailer Ensure truck is kept clean and presentable Represent the company in a professional manner Complete required logs and scan in tickets Follow DOT rules and regulations *This is not an exhausted list of the Flatbed Drivers’ responsibilities* Why IKE? Short Freight Lanes Basic Requirements: Valid Class A CDL & DOT Medical Card (with at least 3 months before expiration) Minimum 1 year Class A commercial driving experience A good attitude Clean DOT Clearinghouse No felony convictions in the past 5 years Good MVR and Stable Work History No Drug/Alcohol violations in the past 5 years No Preventable DOT reportable accidents in the last 2 years Compensation: CPM based on verifiable Class A experience Load Pay Automatic ½ cent raise every six months Optional $69/day per diem Detention Pay (after 1st hour) Breakdown pay (for the ENTIRE breakdown period) Backhaul Pay Stop Pay for multiple stop loads Performance Pay |
