Upper Elementary/Middle School Teacher
Hammond, LA Upper Elementary/Middle School Teacher (Hammond, LA.) The mission of O.M.S. is to provide a safe, nurturing, creative learning environment for the whole person. We are dedicated to total quality education for peace from early childhood through adulthood. The school is located on 5.5 serene acres in Hammond, Louisiana, known as the Crossroads of the South. The non-public setting is conducive to study, and provides a relaxing environment to expand one’s knowledge, freedom, creativity, and opportunities for leadership in the Montessori community. We are seeking a Upper Elementary/Middle School guide for our class ages 9-14 years who is: Team oriented Well-organized Possess strong computer skills Energetic, passionate, and experienced Strong intrapersonal and interpersonal communication skills Able to implement Montessori principles and practices within multi-age grouping Able to differentiate learning to accommodate a variety of learners Skilled in preparation of the environment, lesson plans, assessments, and parent education Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree (Minimum) Montessori certification and experience (Preferred) (Adult learners actively engaged in approved credential programs may be considered.)
