Job Description

**MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW*** is looking for the perfect candidate to fill the Program Facilitator position within our council. The Program Facilitators delivers the Girl Scout Program in schools, communities and virtually to girls in areas where there is low volunteerism. The objective is to provide all girls with access to a safe and quality Girl Scout experience, recruit local volunteers and increase traditional Girl Scouting opportunities in the community. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities  

Provide the Girl Scout program in areas with low volunteerism virtually and in-person programming when it is safe to do so. 
Facilitate 30-minute program curriculum as outlined to include STEM activities, crafts, Financial Literacy, etc. from October through April (3-4 hours per day). 
Available to work a varied schedule of 20 hours per week as assigned  
Responsible for ensuring that program supplies are prepped and ready for activities.  
Engage and empower girls to develop and grow to their full potential. 
Increase the visibility of Girl Scouting in the community. 
Assist in developing plans to transition groups to volunteer leadership. 
Provide support for curriculum development as needed to meet the needs of group members at each individual site. 
Maintain site registration, attendance, program evaluations and record keeping; communicate with site coordinators any schedule or program changes. 
Adhere to Girl Scouts safety and CDC guidelines. 
Be a registered Girl Scout 
All other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 

Creative, enthusiastic, and engaging to girls, either in person or virtually 
Minimum of 3 years' experience in the social work, childhood education or related field 
Minimum of 3 years of experience with program development and implementation  
Fluent in Spanish preferred 
Bachelor’s degree in social work, childhood education, or related field preferred. 
Strong computer skills: proficient in Office 365, excel, power point and Zoom platform. 
Able to work flexible schedule, such as some evenings, weekends 
Able to facilitate program virtually and in person 
Capable of handling sensitive information confidentially 
Excellent organization/multitasking skills; manage deadlines. 
Ability to lift 50 pounds 
Valid driver’s license and own transportation; ability to travel within Suffolk County
