Trainer','31103','!*!SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for performing full training cycles (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, deliver, monitor, and evaluate) on system software which includes, but not limited to, SAP, Salesforce, and Google as well as welding processes and product/gas application training. The Airgas Total Access trainer will manage, coordinate, and deliver the entire new hire onboarding and on the job training, while managing multiple training schedules for existing Associate Teams. The position will include travel to other locations to provide support in training initiatives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
Assist in building annual training plan, classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals
Responsible for managing and maintaining the training schedule for the home call center(s)
Acclimate new hires to the business by coordinating and delivering onboarding and on the job training
Work with local vendor representation to schedule and coordinate vendor training, which can include reviewing/evaluating content and products and providing same day support
Schedule and conduct meetings with management and leadership to proactively identify topics to be addressed or areas in need of additional instruction, evaluate effectiveness of training, and provide continued support
Assist with amending and revising training programs as necessary in a constantly changing working environment
Maintain training records, google sites, surveys and provide reports and updates as required by the Training Director or Leadership
Manage and maintain in house training facilities and equipment, including welding lab requirements
Provide hands on process and equipment demonstrations, vendor demonstrations, and continuous education
As needed, participate in “Train the Trainer” education to achieve a level of competence to utilize training material designed and developed by others to effectively train
Exercise classroom management including learning performance and escalate issues to Management when necessary
Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees
Constantly look for areas of improvement to streamline or simplify processes and training delivery
Travel required up to 50%

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree in education, training, HR or related field preferred
Some experience with SAP, Vistex, Salesforce, and Google products, preferred
Basic knowledge of welding, hardgoods and gases, with hands on experience or background in welding, preferred
Experience in various training methods including, but not limited to, on the job coaching, virtual, and classroom
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Adept at learning new computer software/applications
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines, and manage a highly active pre-planned schedule
Interpersonal skills that enable you to work with people at all levels and motivate others
Must be a self-starter with the ability to multitask, work independently with minimal supervision and manage workload effectively with competitive demands for resources and time
Be able to prepare and present complex material in an organized and motivational manner, exercising patience and creativity
Capable of managing group dynamics
PHYSICAL:
Frequent sitting, bending, reaching, and standing to perform various physical maneuvers
Continuous walking, constant use of sight, speech and hearing
Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
Willing and able to drive (or have access to transportation), fly, and spend evenings away from home
Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace
