Territory Manager (Sales Representative-Natural American Spirit) - Worcester, MA

The Territory Manager brands Natural American Spirit, a Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Co product, to retailers and distributors by executing sales strategies within a defined sales territory. A Territory Manager will be expected to:
Drive sales performance and ensure commercial goals meet or exceed territory expectations by calling on existing and potential retail accounts within territory
Develop a local strategy and business plan for meeting territory objectives, including identifying, analyzing, prioritizing and targeting existing and potential retail accounts within territory, and developing strategies for product and POS placement to optimize sales
Develop and maintain business relationships with local chains and distributors through personal correspondence, calls and presentations to increase sales and promote company brands
Represent Natural American Spirit products at specific Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company merchandising events, tradeshows and/or consumer events
Communicates local market conditions and call activity by way of completed daily activity reports, weekly summaries, quarterly summaries and other detailed reports as required
Function independently with minimal supervision
Effectively address customer concerns using best judgment under the circumstances
Develop superior product knowledge and effectively educate and engage customers in dialogue about company brands and promotions to accomplish sales objectives
Assess sales performance, market trends, and competitor data, and suggest and implements appropriate actions to enhance sales performance within territory
Provide timely, accurate, and competent administrative management of completed daily activity reports, weekly summaries, quarterly summaries and other detailed reports as required
Other duties as assigned
We require all new hires to be 21 or older.
High School degree required; Associates or Bachelor degree preferred.
3 years of sales experience preferably in a tobacco (or similar consumer packaged goods) sales environment.
Excellent analytical skills; proficient in Microsoft Office Suites software; excellent writing skills; good math aptitude; strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
A willingness to relocate. You will need to be open to mobility in order to be considered for this position. Advancement opportunities also require mobility.
